so 和 so that 的用法有什么不同?

这个问题我会，虽然本人英语口语不是很好，但是对英语四六级词汇还是很熟悉的~给大家总结了一个表格可以先粗略看一下：

【用法】

so的用法

1、so用作连词可用于表示结果,作“因此,所以”解; 也可用于表示目的,作“为了,以便”解; 还可用以引出一段话进行评比。

例句1：It was snowing, and so I could not go out.天在下雪，所以我无法外出。

例句2：He ran quickly so as to catch the last bus.他跑得很快以便赶上那末班车。

2、“not so+ adj./adv. (+as...)”表示“不(像)…这么…”; “so+ adj./adv. +that...”用于表示结果; “so+ adj. +a/an+ n. (+as sb/sth)”可用于比较。

so that的用法

1、so that"以便，为了”，引导一个表示目的的状语从句，此时可与in order that 换用；从句谓语动词中常用情态动词may/might，can/could，should，would等；注从句间连接紧凑，没有逗号相隔。

2、So that“因此，所以”，引导一个表示结果的状语从句，此时不能与in order that 换用；从句中谓语根据需要使用相应的事态，主从句之间可有逗号相隔。

例句1：My old father began to study computer at the age of sixty so that（=in order that）he might keep up with time.父亲六十岁时才开始学电脑，以便跟上时代。

例句2：She had not planned her time well，so that she did not finish her homework on time.她没把时间计划好，所以没按时完成家庭作业。

楼上说的不全对,so就相当于中文的“所以”.如”他长的很帅,所以很多人喜欢他“."He is handsome so many people love him." 而so that 是表示以便,为了的意思,如“他用功读书,为了让他爸爸高兴”,"He studies very hard so that his father will be happy."
另要区分so that 和so.that.
so.that是表示如此．．．以致的意思． so that是连在一起用的,表示结果．如：我读更多的书,以便我能赶上我的同学．“I read more books so that I can catch up with my classmates.”so .that 是分开的,表示在什么条件下有的结果,that后加句子．如：“我太累了,以致我一吃完晚饭就去睡觉了．I was so tired that I went to bed as soon as I ate the supper.”
看“He is handsome so many people love him.”和” He is so handsome that many people love him.”
