Usually Persian food is eaten sitting on the floor. The food is either served on a plastic table cloth that is placed on top of another bigger table cloth in the middle of the room, or on a low table.
My very favorite, may it be homemade, in a restaurant or even as an instant meal: Fesenjan
Fesenjan consists of meat (usually poultry) and a sauce on pomegranate and walnut base, it tastes as great as it sounds. It is served on white basmati rice. In homemade Fesenjan I was able to taste all the different ingredients: sour pomegranates with solid meat and sweat walnuts. But even a seemingly boring canned Fesenjan tastes delicious.
